Managing Your Energy: A Practical Path To Improve Your Work/Life Well-Being
Sandhya Sudhakar
Audience: Everyone
Do you know how to spot the signs of burnout in yourself, or on your team? The reality is, burnout occurs over time, when you deplete more energy than you replenish - physical, mental, or emotional - and so often we don’t see it coming or consider it a problem until we are broken down. So, how do you see signs earlier? Or better yet, how do you discover what you need earlier so you can make proactive changes to avoid it all together?
In this workshop, Sandhya will share the latest science on work/life burnout and the most critical information you need to prevent or recover from it. She will guide you through ways to evaluate what's working and not working in your current work/life and concrete action steps to start improving your well-being. You'll discover how to stop managing your time and start managing your energy, and gain practical tools to have the conversations you need to make it happen.
In this workshop, you will:
• Learn the three types of energy you have and why they are important to reducing burnout and improving your well-being
• Complete a personal inventory of your work/life to identify your top energy drainers and generators
• Identify the top things you can change in your day to have more energy and feel more motivated
• Practice a new framework for communicating your needs and advocating for your work/life well-being
Track 2
Mastering Success: A 3 Step Approach
Seema Desai
Audience: Everyone
Women face unique challenges when it comes to attending to the demands of work and home. To top it off, the cultural lessons of our formative years in which we were expected to be “good girls” did not teach us self-advocacy or how to set/communicate healthy boundaries. As a result, we barter personal well-being for the sake of others, often subconsciously & in the sneakiest of ways. Your resultant outward success comes at a cost–a perpetual state of stress and an internal feeling of your actions never being good enough...and maybe a general sense of discontent.
What got you here, your most powerful asset, is actually what’s keeping you from thriving personally and professionally–your brain. And it’s time to reprogram it so you can start creating the life of your dreams. A life filled with success and happiness that is meaningful and sustainable–at work, home, or anywhere in between.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Identify the types of thought patterns that are keeping you stuck in stress and discontent
Learn the three-step-methodology to help you thrive at work, home, or anywhere in between
Explore ideas and tools to help you stop jumping through hoops for the sake of others at the cost of your own inner peace
Feel empowered to start living the life you want to live today.
Track 3
Setting Boundaries with a Confident No
Amy Yip
Audience: Everyone
Do you struggle to say no? Do you say yes even though you want to say no? Then later resent that you said yes? Or maybe you dodge giving a straight answer altogether so you can avoid saying no?
Setting clear boundaries on who and what you will allow or not allow into your life creates the space for you to live your best life. Unfortunately, many of us struggle to uphold our boundaries. Most of us probably have not even clearly defined what our boundaries are. What will you allow within your boundaries? What will you not allow?
In this workshop, we’ll explore:
What boundaries are and why they are important
Types of boundaries and how they function
Why it’s hard to uphold boundaries
How to identify clear boundaries
Strategies to set limits and say no with confidence and respect
Track 4
5 Keys to Building a Cohesive Team
Clarissa Castillo-Ramsey
Audience: Everyone
Team cohesion, or the strength between team members, determines how effective teams will be. If its members are to function as a unit, working closely and efficiently to achieve common goals, there has to be cohesion with the team. On the flip side, what’s the cost of not putting time and attention to building a cohesive team? The cost is steep: low trust, low team member engagement, increased errors, loss of time, turnover, slowed productivity, and the list goes on.
Strong teams require a level of leadership and ownership no matter what the job title is. In this course, you'll learn easy strategies to build up teams that focus on five areas: trust, conflict, responsibility, accountability, and goal-orientation.

Making Space For Authenticity: Three Things You Can Do To Bring Out The Best In Your Team
Sandhya Sudhakar
Audience: People Managers
Numerous studies show that when our people feel empowered to bring their full selves to work, employee engagement and team performance improve, while burnout decreases significantly. So, why aren't we all doing it? The reality is that most can’t, won’t, or don’t want to because their work environment isn’t a place where they feel their full self is welcome - even when the leader has the best intentions to make it that way.
In this workshop, Sandhya will share the top challenges to showing up authentically at work and discuss how the team environment you create plays a critical role in encouraging (or discouraging) your people to be themselves. She will guide you through actionable steps that you as a manager and leader can take to assess where you are today and what your team needs to be even better, by creating a more inclusive team culture that builds a sense of belonging and enables your people to thrive.
In this workshop, you will learn how to:
• Unlock your team's fulfillment and performance potential by understanding and managing to the intrinsic motivations of your people
• Recognize the biases you show up with as a leader, how they impact your team, and what to do about them
• Create a more inclusive environment by designing for differences in thinking and communication styles in your team's operations and practices

The Working Mom's Key To Unlocking Time Abundance
Seema Desai
Audience: Everyone
Pumping breast milk while working at your desk. Cooking dinner while helping with homework. Scheduling doctors appointments during lunch. Working from home to accommodate school holidays. Comforting a crying child while refereeing an argument. Taking meetings while your kids do their activities. It doesn’t take much observation to see that mothers have an entire skill set that is grossly unappreciated and undervalued–especially in the workplace. Task management, delegation, prioritization, & emotional awareness are just a few examples.
In our effort to please everyone and do everything, we find ourselves always at odds with time. This constant race with the clock leaves us feeling exhausted, undervalued, and unfulfilled in our relationships personally and professionally.
This interactive workshop is designed to give participants a welcoming space to be validated and understood, provide insights into how they experience time, and teach easily-applicable, simple tools to make peace with the “tik-tok” of the clock.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Unstick yourself from the overwhelm, frustration, and guilt you experience from your schedules and to-do lists
Discover the life-changing shift you can make TODAY to start feeling more fulfilled, productive, and present in every aspect of life
Start setting healthy boundaries and saying "no" with compassion with a simple tool you can practice immediately.

Overcome Your Pleaser Saboteur and Fearlessly Ask for What You Want
Amy Yip
Audience: Everyone
Are you a kind and generous person, but find yourself exhausted in some relationships because you’re over-giving? Do you sacrifice your own comfort for the comfort of others? Do you feel guilty for even thinking about your own needs and wants?
Women who put themselves first are happier and more successful. Yet, for many Asian women, our upbringing has taught us that to be a good person we have to put the needs of others ahead of our own. In fact, we’ve come to believe that expressing our own needs is selfish. The result? The Pleaser Saboteur can lead to burnout, resentment, and jeopardize your happiness and success.
During this interactive workshop, we will unpack
Misconceptions about the Pleaser Saboteur
How the Pleaser Saboteur is holding you back
How to detect when the Pleaser Saboteur has hijacked your brain
Strategies & practices to break the Pleaser Saboteur cycle and speak up for your needs and wants

Discover Your Authentic Leadership Style
Adrianne Yiu
Audience: People Managers
True leadership is not a title or role that you are given - it’s earned based on how you show up. Leading effectively requires a level of authenticity as it needs to be grounded in who you are, what’s important to you, and what you’re good at. This can be challenging for API women because it requires you to show up with confidence, lean into your strengths and take up space. The good news is that there is a way to do this that honours your lived experiences and personal and cultural values as an API woman.
This workshop is designed for new managers who are finding their authentic leadership style, individual contributors who want to become effective people leaders, or seasoned managers who want to lead more authentically. Workshop participants will learn how to:
• Clarify the core values that are important to you
• Define the strengths or gifts that set you apart as a leader

If you've ever found yourself facing resistance to your ideas - you're not alone. Even when we have a great idea that will affect enormous change, we don't always get the reaction - or action - we're hoping for.

In this interactive session, join 2x TEDx and Global Keynote Speaker and Workplace Performance Expert, Henna Pryor, to uncover and explore the 4 main reasons why people resist change, and more importantly, how to overcome them to leverage the NEW psychology of influence, so we can move our ideas, initiatives, team members, and mission forward.

Advocating For What You Need in the Workplace
Adrianne Yiu
Audience: Everyone
For many folks, asking for what you need in the workplace can be extremely difficult. This is even more challenging when we’re not used to prioritizing and/or voicing our needs. This could be asking for:
• Help from a colleague;
• Better work/life balance;
• The promotion you’ve worked really hard for; or
• The raise you deserve.
For many API women, cultural, gender and societal norms and expectations have a direct impact on our capacity to prioritize our needs. Maybe you’ve internalized that asking for help is a sign of weakness. Or you feel selfish for burdening others with your needs. Or you worry that you’ll seem greedy and ungrateful to ask for more than what you have. Because of this discomfort, it can often feel easier to dismiss your needs. While that may feel like an easier option, you lose the opportunity to advocate for yourself in the workplace and limit your leadership potential by not fulfilling the needs that allow you to do your best work.
This workshop is designed for all leaders who want to be able to advocate for themselves more effectively in the workplace. Workshop participants will learn how to:
• Understand the benefits of prioritizing and voicing your needs
• Build your capacity and confidence to advocate for yourself in the workplace

Awkward and Upward! How awkwardness can be your greatest asset for taking more professional risks
Henna Pryor
Audience: Everyone
Risk-taking sounds good in theory, but most of us have a hard time moving from wishful thinking to execution. Why? Because when we have a chance to take a risk in the moment, we feel awkward - and that awkwardness bumps up against our deep desire for others to approve of us and what we do. As it turns out, it’s what we improve in the face of taking risks -- often despite others’ judgment -- that leads to the greatest growth. After all, the fastest path to major improvement comes from strengthening what’s weak, rather than what’s strong.
Join Workplace Performance Expert and 2x TEDx and Global Keynote Speaker, Henna Pryor, and learn why conditioning for awkward is your secret weapon for strengthening your risk-taking muscle - and how to do it right.
